Infratech

The key to the Infratech W Series of outdoor heaters is the specially designed electric quartz heating element that produces safe, efficient, medium wave infrared energy. Infratech have used their 50 years experience to design the best quartz heating element in the world.

Infrared works by producing radiant heat that is only absorbed by solid objects and no energy is wasted heating the air. It is particularly efficient at converting electricity to heat and by focusing that energy on biomass rather than open air it is effective at greater distances.

Infratech heaters are available in single or double element configuration and a range of power outputs.

Efficient - Infratech heaters are the most efficient on the market converting over 90% of electricity to heat compared to Gas at 50% (even worse in windy conditions). Halogen heater (shortwave infrared) manufacturers claim 90% efficiency however this figure incorporates a significant amount of light energy as well as heat – less efficient.

Environment - no CO2 emissions (unlike gas), no ultra-violet (unlike halogen), use of control systems reduces energy consumption.

Control – switch each bar individually; control any of the heaters through a ‘dimmer’ or zone a complete installation allowing for discreet temperature areas as dictated by guests. Ideal for use with movement detectors in smoking areas and/or with timers.

Kerb appeal – Not only feels warm but looks warm, the heaters emit a dull orange glow attractive to customers as much as the customers relaxed in warmth. Halogen heaters emit an intense light which, in the case of the higher power units, can be unpleasant/dangerous to look at.

Economical on space – wall/ceiling/awning mount has no footprint. Cooltouch housing allows for mounting close to walls, ceilings and awnings.

Fast – from cold to full heat in less than 90 seconds.

Unaffected by wind – radiant energy only absorbed by objects and not wasted heating the air.

Maintenance free – No moving parts, no serviceable parts, no gas cylinder refills (or storage). Quartz elements rated to a minimum of 5,000 hours but performance generally well exceeds that. Medium wave elements more robust than short wave (halogen).

Durable – high quality construction. Infratech Heaters are constructed from high grade stainless steel and special composite alloy, providing outstanding corrosion resistance and all round outdoor performance.
